Polaris Office Bets on Hyper-Connected Integration of Atlassian and Microsoft: Scaling Up with Data and AI

Polaris Office has embarked on a major business transformation to target the global collaboration solutions market. The company aims to move beyond its previous growth model centered on a single Atlassian solution and transform into an integrated collaboration platform provider that combines the Microsoft ecosystem.

On January 20, Polaris Office announced that it would leverage the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) authority held by Maven Cloud Service, a subsidiary of its affiliate HandySoft, to fully implement an integrated business strategy encompassing both Atlassian and Microsoft. The company plans to build a "hyper-connected collaboration platform" that goes beyond collaboration tools to incorporate data analytics and artificial intelligence.

The company explained that this strategic shift is a proactive response to overcome the structural limitations of a single-solution business. Polaris Office has established itself as a core revenue source within the group by supporting the digital transformation of major conglomerates in the semiconductor, automotive, and financial sectors through Atlassian cloud solutions such as Jira and Confluence.

However, as collaboration environments have become more sophisticated, the company determined that a single-vendor solution is no longer sufficient to meet the complex work requirements of enterprises.

In practice, companies have repeatedly raised issues such as data silos, lack of system integration, and operational complexity when operating Atlassian and Microsoft collaboration tools separately. Polaris Office's strategy is to organically connect the two ecosystems to resolve these inefficiencies.

To this end, Polaris Office has completely reorganized its business portfolio based on synergies with Maven. The company has shifted its business focus from a development-oriented structure based on PowerApps to high-value-added areas such as data analytics, AI-based work automation, and cloud security. The plan is to move beyond simple solution sales to an integrated consulting model that encompasses design, implementation, operation, and advancement.

The core strategy is to combine Atlassian's project management and collaboration capabilities with Microsoft Azure-based data analytics and AI technologies to deliver a unified collaboration experience. The company aims to establish a structure in which work data is accumulated and analyzed without fragmentation, and work efficiency and decision-making quality are enhanced through AI.

Kim Donghyun, Executive Director of Polaris Office, said, "The global collaboration market has entered a stage where the ability to organically connect platforms, rather than single-tool competition, is the key competitive edge. We will provide a seamless work experience by connecting Atlassian and Microsoft both technically and operationally in a sophisticated manner."

Polaris Office plans to use this strategy as a starting point to strengthen cooperation with global SaaS vendors and cloud service providers, and to focus on elevating the collaboration environment of domestic companies to a global standard.
