Automated Fire Detection Systems, Sprinklers, and More
The Agricultural Technology Center of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, recently conducted an operational inspection of all fire protection systems at the Naeseo Agricultural Products Wholesale Market to create a safer wholesale market environment.
This inspection, carried out from January 16 to 17, comprehensively checked the operational status of all fire protection facilities in the market, including automated fire detection systems, sprinkler systems, and fire extinguishing pipelines, to ensure rapid response in the event of a fire.
In particular, by simulating an actual fire scenario, the inspection closely examined whether the equipment operated properly. Any deficiencies discovered were immediately addressed, and for facilities requiring separate maintenance, improvement plans were established to proactively eliminate potential fire hazards.
The Naeseo Agricultural Products Wholesale Market is a facility used regularly by numerous distribution workers and visitors. Since a fire could cause significant damage, this inspection has further strengthened fire prevention and initial response capabilities within the wholesale market.
Kang Jongsun, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "We will create a wholesale market environment where both citizens and merchants can feel safe by conducting regular fire protection facility inspections and proactive safety management," adding, "We will continue to carry out safety inspections and facility improvements to prevent disasters in the future."
