Gurye County is hosting a "Stove League," offering a practical program that goes beyond simple training to help teams assess their performance and improve tactical skills. The county is also utilizing local sports facilities, including Gurye Public Stadium, to create a safe environment where training and matches can take place simultaneously, resulting in high satisfaction among participating teams.
In addition, Gurye County is actively promoting large-scale sports events in conjunction with the training camps. From February 20 to 26, 2026, the "2026 Gurye Nogodan Cup Youth Soccer Festival" will be held, bringing youth soccer teams from across the country together in one place.
Many of the teams participating in the winter training camp are also expected to compete in this tournament, allowing them to test the results of their training in real matches and improve their skills through competition with a variety of teams.
With the hosting of the winter training camp and the youth soccer festival, local businesses such as accommodations, restaurants, and cafes are experiencing increased activity, and the regional economic impact is projected to exceed 2.4 billion KRW (approximately 2.4 billion won).
Kim Soonho, Mayor of Gurye County, stated, "Gurye County is the optimal location for training camps, where outstanding natural surroundings are harmonized with excellent sports infrastructure. We will continue to expand sports facilities and provide systematic support to create a training environment that athletes will want to return to."
