Incheon City to Hire 695 for Public Work and Community Job Programs This Year

On January 19, the Incheon Metropolitan Government announced that it will implement a public job creation program this year, hiring 695 people to ensure stable livelihoods for vulnerable groups.

The recruitment will include 420 people for the Public Work Project and 275 people for the Community Job Project, with plans to operate the program across 10 districts and counties. The actual number of hires may be adjusted depending on the demand and conditions in each district and county.

The Public Work Project will focus on four main areas: promoting informatization, supporting public services, environmental maintenance, and safety management. Participants will engage in work closely related to citizens' daily lives, such as assisting with administrative tasks, managing public facilities, and improving living environments.

The Community Job Project will be implemented in four types: utilizing local resources, linking with local businesses, supporting low-income households, and improving community spaces.

Eligibility for the public job program requires applicants to be Incheon residents aged 18 or older, with household income at or below 60% of the median income and assets not exceeding 400 million won. Each district and county will recruit participants this month and begin the program next month.

For details on the number of positions and specific qualifications, please refer to the recruitment announcements on the websites of each district and county.
