Hana Insurance announced on January 19 that it participated in the 'Youth Illegal Gambling Eradication Campaign' relay challenge organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
This campaign, launched by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in March 2024, aims to raise awareness of the seriousness of youth exposure to illegal gambling through the internet and mobile environments, and to promote the importance of prevention throughout society. Hana Insurance joined the campaign upon the recommendation of Ahn Cheolkyung, President of the Korea Insurance Research Institute, who participated in December 2025.
On this day, Baek Sungwan, CEO of Hana Insurance, participated in the campaign with employees, holding a placard bearing the illegal gambling eradication slogan. He stated, "Illegal cyber gambling is not a simple act of deviance, but a clear crime that threatens the lives and futures of young people. As the role of prevention is crucial, Hana Insurance will also fulfill its responsibility as a corporation to help ensure that young people can grow up in a safer digital environment."
CEO Baek nominated Namgoong Won, CEO of Hana Life, and Kang Byungkwan, CEO of Shinhan EZ Insurance, as the next participants, encouraging greater interest and participation in protecting youth.
