Guri City Holds First Half Guri Future School Village Instructor Capacity Building Training

Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) conducted the "2026 First Half Guri Future School Village Instructor Capacity Building Training" on the 16th at the Dream Hall on the 5th floor of the Guri City Youth Culture House.

More than 50 village instructors participated in this training session, which included a briefing on the operational guidelines of the Guri Future School and a child CPR training (a legally mandated course). This helped enhance the instructors' professional skills and their ability to respond effectively on site.

Mayor Baek Kyunghyun stated, "Village instructors are not just conveyors of knowledge, but important partners who help design children's dreams and career paths together." He added, "Guri City will continue to expand administrative and institutional support so that village instructors can work and grow stably, and we will further develop Guri's education system to provide classes and warm attention tailored to each and every child."

Meanwhile, Guri Future School offers a variety of programs in four areas-creative science, arts education, physical education, and career and vocational guidance-four times a year for elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as out-of-school youth. In 2025, a total of 1,639 students participated in 132 programs, receiving enthusiastic responses from both parents and students.
