A2O MAY has achieved a global four-time rookie award win, after receiving the Rookie of the Year award at a Chinese awards ceremony, A2O Entertainment announced on January 19.

A2O MAY (Qianyu, Xijie, Quchang, Mice, and Cat) won the 'Emerging Musician of the Year (Music Finance X Weibo Nayun)' category at the '2025-2026 Music Business Industry Awards (MBIA)' held in Beijing, China, on January 17. The MBIA is a major local industry awards ceremony hosted by the Chinese music industry economic journal 'China Music Finance' and co-organized by Weibo Music.

With this latest win, A2O MAY has now claimed rookie awards at four overseas awards ceremonies. Previously, the group received the 'Rookie Group of the Year' at the 'Weibo Music Awards 2025', the 'New Artist Award' at the '2025 Asian Hall of Fame', and the 'Rookie Group of the Year (Nayun)' at Weibo's 'Night of Competition'.

Debuting last year, A2O MAY reached joint first place with Justin Bieber on the weekly 'Most Added' chart of the U.S. radio chart Mediabase with their first EP, 'PAPARAZZI ARRIVE', and performed at the pre-show of the U.S. year-end event 'Jingle Ball'. Most recently, they completed their first fan meeting in Shanghai, China.

A2O MAY stated, "We are grateful to producer Lee Sooman, our staff, and our fans. We are honored to receive our first award of the year, and we will continue to work hard to repay everyone with even better music."
