Daewoo Engineering & Construction Selected as Contractor for Sajik 4 District Redevelopment in Dongnae-gu, Busan

Daewoo Engineering & Construction announced on January 19 that it has recently been selected as the contractor for the Sajik 4 District Redevelopment Maintenance Project in Sajik-dong, Dongnae-gu, Busan.

The Sajik 4 District Redevelopment Maintenance Project involves the construction of 11 apartment buildings ranging from four basement levels to 39 above-ground floors, totaling 1,730 residential units, along with ancillary welfare facilities. The construction contract is valued at 792.3 billion won.

Sajik 4 District is located near Dongnae Station on Busan Subway Lines 1 and 4, Minam Station on Lines 3 and 4, and Gyo-dae Station on Line 4 and the Donghae Line. The area boasts educational infrastructure in Dongnae-gu, large department stores, Oncheoncheon Stream, and Sajik Sports Complex, making it one of the most sought-after residential areas in Busan.

Daewoo Engineering & Construction has proposed the name "Prugio Graniel" for the Sajik 4 District complex. The name combines "Grand," signifying a great residential masterpiece representing Sajik, and "Ciel," the French word for sky. Daewoo Engineering & Construction explained, "This reflects our commitment to establishing the best residential landmark in the heart of Sajik."

To further differentiate the complex, Daewoo Engineering & Construction collaborated with the global design firm Arcadis. Two sky community spaces will be created on the top floors, along with a 6,270-square-meter "Triple Sunken Park," maximizing landscaping and relaxation areas within the large complex. Additionally, the 12.2-square-meter community space per household will feature a multipurpose gymnasium, fitness club, GX/Pilates room, sauna, study room, senior club, and other diverse community facilities for residents.

A representative from Daewoo Engineering & Construction stated, "With excellent location conditions, combined with our construction capabilities and design, this project will become a new residential milestone in Busan. We will present the region's finest luxury complex to repay the trust of our cooperative members."

This year, Daewoo Engineering & Construction aims to surpass last year's order performance and is actively working to achieve this goal. Recently, the company officially entered the bidding process for "Only One Seongsu," a key project in the Han River redevelopment area in Seoul. The company also plans to continue its aggressive strategy by securing leading positions in promising projects, such as the redevelopment of the area around Sini-mun Station and the reconstruction of Gojan Yeonrip District 5 in Ansan, as well as other projects in Seoul and the metropolitan area.
