Generative AI Startup Association Hosts Tokyo Meetup Day
Showcasing Technologies and Services, Fostering Mutual Exchange
The Generative AI Startup Association announced on January 19 that it will hold an AI Startup Meetup Day on January 20 at Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) in Tokyo, Japan, with the participation of eight leading AI startups from Korea and Japan.
Supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the event is jointly organized by the association, the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency’s Tokyo office, and Japanese venture capital firm Z Venture Capital (ZVC). The purpose of the event is to bring together Korean and Japanese startups to discuss AI Transformation (AX) issues and explore opportunities for mutual cooperation.
From Korea, RYUTEN Technologies, CyonicAI, SnapTag, Coxwave, and FriendlyAI will participate, while from Japan, Dwilar and Findy will join. QueryPie AI, which was established in the United States in 2017 and has since expanded to Korea and Japan, will also take part. Presenters from each company, all of whom are actively conducting business in both Korea and Japan, will provide detailed introductions to their technologies and services, highlighting their unique strengths.
In particular, Min Kyungwoong, CEO of SnapTag, plans to give a detailed presentation on the 'K-Safe Public API' free offering project at this event. This initiative aims to enhance the transparency and reliability of AI services in line with the world’s first AI Basic Act, which will be implemented in Korea on January 22.
Additionally, Lim Jungwook, Co-CEO of Startup Alliance (former Director-General of Startup and Venture Innovation at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups), and Yuda Masaki, Partner at ZVC, will deliver keynote speeches providing in-depth analysis of AX issues and the role of startups.
Finally, in a fireside chat moderated by Lim, with participation from the main presenters, the discussion will cover a wide range of topics, including the latest AX technology trends, on-site challenges, and avenues for collaboration, while actively exploring ways to create AX synergy.
Lee Seyoung, President of the Association, stated, "Now that AI technology is blossoming in the AX field, the role of startups-armed with speed and innovation-is becoming even more important. As both Korea and Japan are focusing on AX issues across all sectors of society, I am confident that cooperation and synergy between startups in both countries will lead the future of AX."
