[Click eStock] "Actro Receives Interest from Top North American Companies... Strong Momentum from Early This Year"

On January 19, independent research firm Briars Insight analyzed that Actro is gaining attention as a key player at the forefront of the supply chain amid the spread of autonomous vehicles and humanoid robots. As competition in physical AI intensifies, the company is rapidly increasing its performance visibility by supplying both equipment and core components.

Since its establishment in 2012, Actro has developed and produced actuators, which are essential components of camera modules. Its main product lineup consists of actuators for auto focusing (AF), optical image stabilizers (OIS), and folded zoom, and it also supplies performance inspection equipment and automation systems. The company is characterized by a business structure that extends beyond simple component manufacturing to include equipment as well.

Choi Jaeho, a researcher at Briars Insight, stated, "As the global tech war to secure physical AI competitiveness intensifies, Actro is likely to quickly translate sales of equipment and core components into results at the forefront of the supply chain." In fact, as demand for automation equipment from downstream clients has grown, Actro's equipment sales surged by more than 500%, from 2.9 billion won in 2024 to a cumulative 18 billion won as of the third quarter of last year.

Researcher Choi explained, "The company has secured the largest North American smartphone manufacturer and a major automaker as clients, thereby achieving new sales of core components and an exclusive supply position. Given its growth potential relative to its current market capitalization, Actro remains highly attractive for investment despite the recent stock price increase."

Collaboration with global North American companies is cited as a key driver for future growth. Actro is reportedly testing the industry's first '6-axis OIS performance tester,' which reduces space and costs to about one-third of previous levels, targeting the 2027 model of the largest North American smartphone manufacturer.

Production infrastructure is also expanding rapidly. The second Vietnam subsidiary, currently under expansion, is expected to be completed within the first quarter of this year, and the line will be operated exclusively for a North American automaker. The camera heater assembly (Heater ASS'Y), which plays a crucial role in autonomous driving environments, is expected to begin mass production in the third quarter of this year. In addition, the AF module actuators for humanoid robots, for which the client plans to produce over 100,000 to 200,000 units annually, are expected to enter full-scale mass production in the fourth quarter of this year.

Actro's manufacturing expertise and automation capability are cited as reasons why top-tier global companies have chosen the company. Researcher Choi Jaeho said, "The company supplies automation lines and next-generation inspection equipment to its industry peers and also produces its own actuators, giving it both a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and a technological edge." In addition, by internalizing automation equipment for all actuator processes, Actro has achieved high production yields and cost competitiveness, while also establishing a system for quality control, rapid response, and stable component supply.

Choi concluded, "Given Actro's industrial competitiveness and profitability, there was no reason for global companies not to choose Actro."
