According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the expected snowfall is around 1 cm in southern Gyeonggi, and less than 1 cm in Seoul, northern Gyeonggi, the northern East Coast of Gangwon, and parts of Gyeongsang. Precipitation is forecast to be around 1 mm in some areas of Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, South Chungcheong, North Chungcheong, and North Jeolla, and 1 mm in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and parts of Gyeongsang.


There is a high possibility of icy and slippery roads, so extra caution is needed when walking or driving to avoid slipping. From the afternoon, strong winds with instantaneous speeds of around 55 km/h (15 m/s) are expected in most regions.


As of 5 a.m., the temperatures in major cities are as follows: Seoul -1.3°C, Incheon -2.1°C, Suwon -1.0°C, Chuncheon -0.6°C, Gangneung 2.7°C, Cheongju 0.8°C, Daejeon 1.7°C, Jeonju 2.6°C, Gwangju 3.6°C, Jeju 10.5°C, Daegu 4.0°C, Busan 7.4°C, Ulsan 4.7°C, and Changwon 5.3°C. Daytime temperatures are forecast to range from -3°C to 10°C.



Wave heights at sea are expected to be 0.5 to 2.5 meters off the East Coast, 1.0 to 3.5 meters off the West Coast, and 0.5 to 3.0 meters off the South Coast. In the outer seas (distant seas within about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are forecast to be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 1.5 to 5.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea.
