As there is a growing need for an operational base that goes beyond simply receiving local complaints and instead connects changes in residents' lives to policy, Lee Chungwon, a member of the North Gyeongsang Provincial Council, has opened a local office in Uiseong and pledged ongoing communication with local residents.

On January 17, Assemblyman Lee held an opening ceremony for the Uiseong office and stated, "I will conduct legislative activities that listen to the voices of residents up close and address local issues as quickly as possible."

Approximately 3,000 people, including residents of Uiseong, local figures, and supporters, attended the opening ceremony to celebrate this new beginning.

National Assemblyman Park Hyungsoo delivered a video message, saying, "This opening ceremony marks Assemblyman Lee Chungwon's new start, pledging to communicate more closely with residents and fulfill greater responsibilities. I hope this will be an opportunity to better understand the difficulties and lives of residents and to find the path forward for Uiseong together."

In his remarks, Assemblyman Lee emphasized, "This space we open today is not just a workplace, but an open community room where we can listen to residents' voices and share concerns together. Please feel free to visit anytime, have a warm cup of tea, and share your opinions about the region."

Regarding the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Integrated New Airport, he also highlighted its significance as a future growth axis for Uiseong.

Assemblyman Lee said, "The integrated new airport is a practical 100-year future strategy for the Uiseong area, leading to job creation, population inflow, and industrial restructuring. I will do my best to ensure its smooth implementation and to lead the development of Uiseong."
