According to reports from Global Times and other Chinese and Hong Kong media outlets on January 18, Yang Xiaolong passed away on January 14. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed. However, it was reported that he remained active until the day before his death, having dinner with acquaintances and taking group photos.


Yang Xiaolong was a Hong Kong-born martial arts actor and action star, primarily active in martial arts films during the 1970s and 1980s. Alongside Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan (Cheng Long), he was known as one of the "Three Dragons" of Hong Kong. His English name was Bruce Leung. In Korea, he gained recognition through the 2005 release of "Kung Fu Hustle," directed by and starring Stephen Chow. He also appeared in television series such as "Legend of the Fist" and "Fist of Fury."


Yang Xiaolong's family is currently holding a quiet funeral, and the ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 26 in Longgang, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, southern China.


On the afternoon of January 18, world-renowned action star Jackie Chan posted a tribute to Yang Xiaolong on Sina Weibo. Jackie Chan wrote, "I just returned to Beijing, and I was so shocked by the news of Mr. Yang's passing that I could hardly believe or accept it." He continued, "In my memory, he was always a kung fu master proficient in various traditional martial arts." He added, "Throughout his life, he demonstrated his expertise in film and television, and was an outstanding action expert. As an actor, he was deeply loved by audiences and respected by everyone in the industry." Jackie Chan concluded, "Brother, it is snowing in Beijing, the sky is gray, and I remember you."
