Eighteen students from Yuljeong Middle School participated in the camp, engaging in an immersive English program and project-based classes over four days to gain practical global communication experience.
The "Global Talk-Talk English Intensive Camp" served as a preliminary program linked to Yangju City's "Global Talk-Talk Youth International Exchange Program," which is part of the educational development special zone's overseas exchange initiative. The camp was designed to enhance students' English communication skills and global awareness in preparation for upcoming joint classes with students from Fujieda City, Japan.
During the camp, students took part in experiential and participatory project-based classes such as producing English news, cultural exchange lessons, cooking experiences, IB projects on environmental themes, and Market Day activities. Through team activities, presentations, and collaborative problem-solving tasks, students gained confidence in using English, improved their communication skills, and developed their ability to work collaboratively.
One student who participated in the camp said, "The classes where we gave presentations in English and did activities with friends were so much fun that the time passed quickly," adding, "I'm also looking forward to the joint classes with Japanese friends."

Starting with this camp at Yuljeong Middle School, Yangju City plans to sequentially operate the Global Talk-Talk English Intensive Camp at two additional middle schools and one elementary school in the area. The city also plans to further expand international exchange education by formally linking these programs to the youth international exchange joint class program with Fujieda City, Japan.
An official from Yangju City stated, "The Global Talk-Talk English Intensive Camp is more than just a language program; it marks the starting point of international exchange education," adding, "We will continue to expand the educational environment so that Yangju City students can grow and communicate with the world."
