Gumi Office of Education Holds 2026 Gumi Education Briefing Session

The Gumi Office of Education in North Gyeongsang Province (headed by Superintendent Min Byungdo) held the "2026 Gumi Education Briefing Session" with the slogan "Growth HUB of Gyeongbuk Education" at the multipurpose auditorium of the Gumi Office of Education on January 16, 2026.

Approximately 130 participants attended the briefing session, including principals from kindergartens, elementary, middle, high, and special schools in the Gumi area, as well as officials from the Gumi Office of Education.

The 2026 Gumi Education initiative, under the vision of "Gumi Education Growing Together by Fostering Future Competencies," announced four detailed policy tasks: "Curriculum that Enriches Life," "Future Education that Empowers," "Warm Schools that Embrace Everyone," and "Innovative Educational Support."

Additionally, the session identified "Q! Learning that Grows through Questions" and "Dapoom, Integrated Student Support Embracing Everyone's Growth" as key focus areas for 2026 Gumi Education. Under the indicators of "Deep Learning," "Shared Enjoyment," and "A New Future for Gumi Education," the office pledged active support to ensure that every student can develop future competencies and grow together in 2026.

Superintendent Min Byungdo stated, "The remarkable achievements of 2025 Gumi Education were made possible by the collective efforts of everyone in the school field, local community, and related organizations. Building on this foundation, we promise that 2026 Gumi Education will become even more robust and take another step forward."

He added, "As 2026 Gumi Education embarks on a new beginning with growth as its keyword and under the slogan 'Growth HUB of Gyeongbuk Education,' we will do our utmost to support all students so that everyone can realize their abilities and potential, grow into individuals required by future society, and ensure that students, parents, and teachers alike can all find happiness."
