Accelerating the Establishment of an Integrated Support System
Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on the 16th that it held the "Capacity Building Training for Local Care Integrated Support Personnel in Medical and Nursing Care" on the 15th in the medium conference room of the Guri City Women’s Happiness Center. The training was attended by staff responsible for integrated care work from the public health center, eight administrative welfare centers, the National Health Insurance Service, and the National Pension Service.

This training was organized to enhance the understanding of the system among integrated care personnel and to strengthen their capacity to implement integrated care tailored to local conditions, ahead of the enforcement of the "Act on Integrated Support for Local Care in Medical and Nursing Care" in 2026.
The training mainly covered the following topics: the main contents of the Integrated Care Support Act and the direction of project implementation; the necessity and best practices of multidisciplinary cooperation in medical, nursing, and housing services; establishing departmental roles and systems for identifying and managing cases; and discussions on integrated care models reflecting the characteristics of Guri City.
In particular, it was evaluated that the training clarified the roles between public officials and staff from related organizations and shared practical strategies for coordination and linkage, thereby laying the foundation for the stable implementation of future integrated care projects.
Mayor Baek Kyunghyun of Guri City stated, "Through this training, we have fostered consensus on the integrated care system and significantly improved the practical understanding of the personnel involved. We will continue to provide ongoing training and cooperation to establish an integrated care system tailored to the unique characteristics of our community."
Based on the outcomes of this training, Guri City plans to further strengthen interdepartmental collaboration and gradually expand integrated support services for medical, nursing, and care that citizens can experience firsthand.
