Gimcheon City Launches Integrated Application for Nine Types of Agricultural Machinery Support

Applications Accepted at Town, Township, and Neighborhood Offices Until January 30

Gimcheon City is overhauling the application procedures for the 2026 agricultural machinery support project, launching a full-scale "integrated application" system to simultaneously enhance convenience for farmers and ensure fairness in the selection process.

Gimcheon City Launches Integrated Application for Nine Types of Agricultural Machinery Support Gimcheon City to Promote Integrated Application for 2026 Agricultural Machinery Support Project (9 Types)

Gimcheon City (Mayor Bae Nakho) announced that applications for the "2026 Agricultural Machinery Support Project (9 types)" will be accepted at the administrative welfare centers in the towns, townships, and neighborhoods where the farmland is located until January 30, 2026.

The core of the reform is the unification of previously scattered application periods for each project and the standardization of evaluation criteria, allowing farmers to receive the necessary support more clearly and conveniently through a single application process.

This support project consists of a total of nine areas: ▲Supply of small and medium-sized agricultural machinery ▲Support for large agricultural machinery for large-scale rice farms ▲Support for labor-saving equipment for rice cultivation ▲Support for labor-saving equipment for other crops in paddy fields ▲Support for smart agricultural machinery for food crops ▲Support for portable non-destructive sugar content meters ▲Support for labor-saving equipment for orchards ▲Support for integrated fruit sorters ▲Support for grape sorting efficiency improvement equipment (binding machines).

However, farmers who are in arrears or have received support for the same project within the past five years are restricted from applying.

In addition, regardless of the equipment type, duplicate applications across the nine projects are not allowed, and for certain equipment, applications are limited to the "dedicated project application" route only.

Applicants for SS machines (riding and walking types), electric unmanned pest control machines, powered weeders, agricultural aerial work vehicles, self-propelled power sprayers, fruit sorters, grape binding machines, and portable non-destructive sugar content meters can only apply through the relevant dedicated projects and not through the small and medium-sized agricultural machinery supply project.

Gimcheon City emphasized that the introduction of the integrated application system is not only about reducing the number of application windows but also about improving consistency and fairness throughout the application and evaluation process. Final recipients will be selected in February through a review by the Gimcheon City Agricultural, Rural, and Food Industry Policy Deliberation Committee.

A Gimcheon City official stated, "We are promoting the integrated application system so that farmers can apply for agricultural machinery support projects more easily and conveniently," adding, "We will continue to improve the system and provide field-oriented support to ensure that agricultural machinery subsidy projects are consistently and fairly implemented."

The local agricultural community has assessed this integrated application as an example of administrative innovation that strengthens the principle of "simple application, transparent selection," and expects that both farmers' convenience and farming efficiency will be enhanced.
