Hanmi Pharmaceutical announced on January 16 that it has established a product lineup in the field of antipyretic and analgesic medications for infants and young children, centered around its Sursafen and Maxibufen brands.

The Sursafen series, which contains acetaminophen, and the Maxibufen series, which contains dexibuprofen, are available in a variety of formulations, including suppositories and syrups. The company has expanded its product lineup to allow selection based on age and dosing circumstances. For example, the recently launched "Sursafen Kids Syrup" comes in individually packaged stick-type pouches.
The two product lines are classified as antipyretic and analgesic medications from different drug classes, making it possible to alternate between them depending on symptoms. This can be particularly useful when a fever does not subside easily or when dosing intervals need to be adjusted.
A Hanmi Pharmaceutical representative stated, "For antipyretic and analgesic medications for infants and young children, safety and ease of administration are especially important," adding, "The core of this product lineup reorganization is that we now offer a range of products that can be selected according to age and situation."
