Reasonably Priced, High-Quality Bakery Products
Featuring Five Varieties Made with Local Specialty Ingredients
Shinsegae Food announced on January 16 that it will be holding a bakery festival called the "Berry Festival" at Emart bakery stores nationwide.
The "Berry Festival" is part of a regional coexistence business agreement (MOU) signed last year between Shinsegae Food and Nonsan City. The festival was planned to expand customers' everyday consumption experiences by offering bakery products made with strawberries, a premium agricultural product from Nonsan. Nonsan strawberries are widely recognized as Korea's finest, known for their exceptional sweetness, aroma, and juiciness, thanks to a cultivation environment with large temperature differences and systematic quality control.
This event will run as a seasonal limited offer at Emart bakery stores nationwide until March. The lineup consists of five different desserts made with Nonsan strawberries.
The signature product is the "Ddalmuque" (27,980 won), a premium cake generously topped with fresh strawberries. Other offerings include the "Spoonable Nonsan Strawberry Cake" (9,980 won), which features fresh strawberries and strawberry chunk jam, and the "Nonsan Strawberry Cream Red Bean Bun" (four pieces, 7,980 won), which combines sweet red bean and strawberry cream. Starting from January 22, the "Nonsan Strawberry Blossom Pie" (two pieces, 4,980 won), made with strawberries and fresh cream in a pie, and the "Spoonable Mini Strawberry Cake" (4,980 won) will also be available at select locations.
A Shinsegae Food representative stated, "We are offering high-quality bakery products at reasonable prices using premium Nonsan strawberries, which are in season during winter," and added, "We plan to continue expanding our seasonal bakery development and coexistence initiatives using local specialty products in the future."
