Yuhan Corporation announced on January 16 that it has launched a new probiotic product for hair, 'Moqurak,' which helps improve the environment for hair growth. Moqurak is the first probiotic product in Korea to be recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its functionality in supporting hair health.

Moqurak focuses on creating an optimal systemic environment for hair growth by improving gut health. Hair is a tissue that goes through repeated cycles of growth and rest. Moqurak was developed based on the observation that the proportion of hair in the growth phase may decrease due to changes in age and lifestyle.

The product uses the probiotic strain 'Latilactobacillus curvatus LB-P9' as its main ingredient. Yuhan Corporation confirmed increased hair growth rate, increased hair thickness, and enhanced antioxidant enzyme activity in preclinical animal studies. In human clinical trials, the product demonstrated an increase in hair tensile strength, which is an indicator of hair gloss and elasticity.
