Goheung County Recruiting Participants for "Goheung-Type Hope Job Program"

Supporting Self-Reliance of Vulnerable Job Seekers Through Direct Public Sector Employment

Goheung County in South Jeolla Province announced that it will recruit participants for the "2026 First Half Goheung-Type Hope Job Program" to help stabilize employment and promote self-reliance among vulnerable job seekers through direct public sector jobs, while also providing essential public services to the local community.

This Goheung-Type Hope Job Program will select a total of 58 participants across two fields: service support and environmental maintenance. Participants will carry out public work closely related to residents’ daily lives, such as program operation, data entry assistance, facility management, and environmental maintenance.

The program will run from early March to the end of June 2026. Applications can be submitted from January 16 to January 30 through the Population Administration Team at the local town or township office corresponding to the applicant’s place of residence.

Eligibility is limited to individuals aged 18 to 70 who are capable of working, whose household income is at or below 70% of the median income, and who meet the asset requirements. However, those already participating in other government-supported job programs, business owners, and spouses or children of public officials are excluded from selection.

Working conditions vary by field. Service support workers, targeting those aged 49 or younger, will work either 8 hours or 4 hours per day. Environmental maintenance workers, targeting those aged 70 or younger, will work 3 hours per day. The wage is 10,320 won per hour, and the four major social insurances will be provided.

An official from the county’s Population Policy Office stated, “Through this program, we expect to stabilize employment for vulnerable groups and enhance local public services,” and added, “We hope for the interest and active participation of many county residents.”
