On January 16, Incheon City announced that it will hold a discount event at the Win-Win Distribution Support Center 'The Damji' to help expand sales channels for local small and medium-sized enterprises and social economy enterprises ahead of the Lunar New Year.
This event will be operated both online and offline. The online event will run from January 19 to February 6, while the offline event will take place from February 2 to 13.
Online sales will be available through six platforms: Incheon Eum 36.5+, Korea Post, Naver Smart Store, Dongbanseongjang Mall, Nonghyup Mall, and Kakao Mobile Shopping Mall. The offline store will be operated at the Win-Win Distribution Support Center located on the first floor of Jemulpo Station in Michuhol-gu.
Depending on the participating company, online discounts will range from 20% to 30%, while offline discounts will be up to 30%. This allows customers to purchase popular Lunar New Year items such as food, daily necessities, and gifts at lower prices.
This year, in particular, the quantity per person will be limited to 10 items to ensure that more citizens can benefit equally. This is an improvement from last year's policy, which limited the discount amount per person to 100,000 won, and is intended to prevent sales from being concentrated among a small number of buyers.
An official from Incheon City stated, "Through this event, we aim to secure stable sales channels for local businesses and create a distribution environment where citizens can consume together in the spirit of mutual growth and shared value."
