A Total of 20 Households to Be Selected
80% of Installation Costs Covered
Hoengseong County in Gangwon Province announced on January 16 that it will be accepting applications for the "2026 Household Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Small Storage Tank Distribution Project," aimed at improving the energy usage environment for residents in areas not supplied with city gas.
Applications for this project will be accepted for one day only, starting at 2:00 p.m. on January 22. A total of 20 households will be supported, and selected applicants will receive up to 80% of the installation costs for LPG small storage tanks and gas boilers (up to 2 million won).
Eligibility is limited to residents registered in Hoengseong County (owner-occupied households). However, households that cannot be accessed by a 5-ton bulk vehicle for fuel supply are excluded from the project, so applicants should confirm this before applying.
LPG small storage tanks are not only safer than the conventional cylinder delivery method, but also allow for convenient fuel supply at a city gas level through remote metering. The county expects that this project will significantly improve the living conditions of elderly households who have difficulties using coal briquettes or wood-fired boilers.
Residents wishing to apply should visit the Investment Promotion Division at Hoengseong County Office at 2:00 p.m. on January 22, bringing their resident registration certificate, building register, and national tax payment certificate.
