Recognized as a "Model for Regional Mecenat"
in Joint Evaluation by ARKO and Korea Mecenat Association
The Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation was awarded the '2025 Korea Arts and Business Co-Growth Grand Prize' in recognition of its achievements in establishing a sustainable collaboration model connecting artists and businesses.
The foundation announced on the 15th that it was selected as an outstanding foundation at the 'Korea Arts and Business Co-Growth Grand Prize (Artnership Awards)' ceremony held at the House of Artists in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
This award, co-hosted by the Arts Council Korea (ARKO) and the Korea Mecenat Association (KMA), evaluates the achievements of the '2025 Arts and Business Co-Growth Support Project' and is presented to institutions and cases that have contributed to revitalizing the local cultural and artistic ecosystem.
The main evaluation criteria are achievements in simultaneously expanding the social value of art and the business value of companies through strategic collaboration between art organizations and businesses.
Last year, the foundation served as an intermediary connecting artists and businesses in the Chungnam region, and received high marks for establishing a sustainable mecenat partnership structure that goes beyond one-time sponsorships.
In particular, the foundation was recognized for its matching fund system, in which it provides additional funding proportional to the amount companies donate to art organizations, thereby stably expanding creative resources for artists and offering companies meaningful opportunities for social contribution.
Lee Hansoo, Head of Management Planning at the foundation, said, "This is the result of our ongoing efforts in the field to build a structure where the local arts community and businesses can grow together," and added, "We will continue to expand the partnership ecosystem so that artists can create stably and companies can generate new social value through arts and culture."
