Polaris Group, which is pursuing global business expansion, has officially begun establishing a local business infrastructure in Canada as part of its entry into the North American market.
On January 5 (local time), Polaris Group attended the 'Korea-Canada Business Networking Luncheon' held at the Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Hotel in Canada, where it discussed collaboration strategies for entering the North American market with key local experts in the fields of finance, accounting, telecommunications, IT, and education, the company announced on January 15.
This event was organized at the invitation of 'Successful People (SP Consulting)', a Canadian business consulting firm, and focused on concretizing practical business connections and local settlement strategies, centering on a network of Korean professionals active in Canada.
The event was attended by Ji Junkyung, Vice Chairman of Polaris Group, as well as Lee Junhee, Chairman of Successful People, and Ahn Junho, Executive Director. The local expert group included David Yoo, Branch Manager at BMO Bank; Alex Jo, CEO of Alex Jo Accounting Firm; Paul Kwon, CEO of PhoneBox; Kei Lee, CEO of Glenn College; Brian We, CEO of JM Edu; and Sujin Ji, CEO of IT company FRENDI.
Through this meeting, Polaris Group comprehensively reviewed essential elements for expanding into the North American market, such as the Canadian economic environment and corporate regulatory system, local finance and tax structures, telecommunications and IT infrastructure development, and talent acquisition strategies. The company stated that it particularly focused on designing a business structure based on local partnerships in order to minimize legal, financial, and operational risks that can arise when expanding overseas as a listed company.
The company plans to use the cooperative system established with the local expert group through this networking event to position Canada as a strategic base for entering the North American market, and to gradually specify its mid- to long-term expansion strategies, including investment, business alliances, and the establishment of local subsidiaries and projects.
Ji Junkyung, Vice Chairman of Polaris Group, said, "Canada is a key hub for North American business, offering financial stability and institutional transparency. By collaborating with verified local experts in finance, IT, education, and telecommunications, we will accelerate Polaris Group's global expansion and build a foundation that will lead to tangible business results."
Meanwhile, Polaris Group owns affiliates across various industries, including Polaris Office, Polaris Sewon, Polaris Uno, Polaris AI, and Polaris AI Pharma, and is actively promoting its 'Vertical AI' strategy, which integrates AI across all industries.
