This readjustment was carried out to re-examine the validity of the existing plan established in 2024 and to enhance its effectiveness and practical applicability by reflecting recent changes in conditions and residents' opinions. The Growth Management Area system targets non-urbanized areas where development demand is increasing and there are concerns about haphazard development, in order to prevent indiscriminate development and promote rational land use.

During the readjustment process, Yangju City focused on several key areas: ▲ additional designation of areas not previously classified as planned management zones ▲ incorporation of changes in urban management plans (zoning) ▲ revision of classification criteria for growth management area types based on location characteristics ▲ establishment of directions for expanding infrastructure ▲ development of architectural planning standards such as building layout and form ▲ strengthening of environmental conservation and landscape management measures ▲ and comprehensive revision of guidelines for establishing growth management plans.

In particular, to improve the effectiveness and acceptance of the plan, the city widely collected residents' opinions through town hall meetings and village leader conferences, and also strengthened communication with the local real estate industry by cooperating with the Yangju branch of the Korea Association of Realtors.

The newly announced readjustment of the growth management plan will serve as a systematic management standard for development activities in non-urbanized areas in the future, and is expected to contribute to rational development and the creation of a pleasant residential environment tailored to local conditions.

A Yangju City official stated, "This readjustment of the growth management plan is a key policy directly linked to balanced urban growth, protection of citizens' property rights, and daily convenience. We will continue to do our best for planned urban management and sustainable urban development."
