On the 15th, President Lee Jae-myung met with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and stated, "It would be good if we could quickly achieve concrete and tangible results."
During the meeting held in the reception room of the main building of the Blue House that day, President Lee said to Chairman Khaldoon, "Korea and the UAE have agreed to build a relationship that will last for the next hundred years-what we call 'baeknyeon-haero' in our language," expressing his hopes for a long-lasting partnership.
President Lee also asked, "I wonder how President Mohamed is doing," and added, "It would be nice if he could pay a state visit to Korea soon so we can discuss things in more detail." He then expressed his gratitude by saying, "From our perspective, the UAE is a very important ally, and our people still remember the warm welcome we received at the national level when we visited."
In response, Chairman Khaldoon said, "I am delighted to be in Korea, my second home," and conveyed, "President Mohamed asked me to extend his special thanks for your affectionate and warm welcome." He also remarked, "Your visit had a significant impact throughout the UAE," and added, "President Mohamed also said that it produced very positive results."
He emphasized, "Our people also have high expectations for how the special strategic partnership between our two countries will develop," and added, "As you mentioned, I will work closely with Chief Presidential Secretary Kang Hoonshik, whom I consider like an older brother, to achieve meaningful outcomes."
