Gapyeong County to Build 54-Hole Park Golf Course in Cheongpyeong-myeon, Completion Targeted for December

Expectations for Improved Health and Leisure for Residents

Gapyeong County in Gyeonggi Province will establish a 54-hole park golf course in Daeseong-ri, Cheongpyeong-myeon by December this year to promote a healthy leisure culture for its residents.

On January 15, Gapyeong County announced, "We plan to build a 54-hole park golf course with a total area of 64,497 square meters in Daeseong-ri, Cheongpyeong-myeon, with a construction budget of 4.45 billion won."


The county received approval for river use and implementation plans from the Wonju Regional Environmental Office on January 9. Based on this, construction will begin in April this year, with the project scheduled for completion by December.


This project entered full-scale implementation after receiving final approval in January this year, following the launch of the detailed design service in June 2023 and consultations with the Wonju Regional Environmental Office regarding river use permits.

A county official stated, "By establishing the park golf course, we have created a foundation for residents to improve their health and enjoy leisure activities in their daily lives," adding, "We will continue to expand cultural and sports infrastructure in a balanced manner to bring about changes that residents can truly feel."
