At around 9:40 p.m. on January 14, two pedestrians crossing a two-lane one-way road in Misudong, Tongyeong City, South Gyeongsang Province, were struck by an oncoming motorcycle.
As a result of the accident, one pedestrian in his 50s died at the scene, while another pedestrian in his 50s and the motorcycle driver in his 70s sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital.
It has been reported that the motorcycle driver was neither intoxicated nor unlicensed.
The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, questioning those involved.
