The press conference was held under the theme "Mungyeong: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow." As for the achievements of "Yesterday," the city highlighted several major milestones: attracting the Gyeongbuk Agricultural Academy, opening The Born Food Service Industry Development Institute, establishing an integrated partnership between Soongsil University and Mungyeong University, and breaking ground for the Gyeongbuk Fire Equipment Technology Institute. Additionally, the opening of KTX Mungyeong Station, the implementation of free city bus service, and the commencement of construction on the Dansan Tunnel were cited as innovations in transportation infrastructure. These developments were evaluated as turning points that significantly strengthened the foundation for the city's growth.

"Today," according to the city, Mungyeong is experiencing visible changes across tourism, sports, agriculture, welfare, and education. Achievements such as winning four awards for the Dolinae Wetland, becoming the nation's first city dedicated to park golf, hosting the Asian Soft Tennis Championships, revitalizing Eco World, establishing a virtual studio, and Jo Harim's new national record were presented as examples of expanding the city's brand onto national and global stages.

In the agricultural sector, the city reported improvements in both income and farming conditions through the industrialization of its three major agricultural festivals, expansion of cultivation areas for Gamhong apples and omija berries, a record number of visitors to the Apple Festival, selling out premium Gamhong apples, increasing the number of foreign seasonal workers, and constructing dormitories for farmers.

Other achievements included the completion of the Family Center, Lifelong Learning Center, and Welfare Center for Pneumoconiosis Victims, increased support for seniors’ hairdressing and bathing expenses, integrated support for medical, nursing, and care services, and selection for the Educational Development Special Zone and the Regional Innovation RISE project. These were presented as results that have strengthened practical welfare and educational competitiveness felt by citizens.

For "Tomorrow," the city presented three core projects: the Mungyeong Saejae Cable Car, a global wellness resort, and the bid to host the 2031 World Military Games. With the goal of becoming a global city by combining tourism and sports, the city also plans to implement administrative innovations that citizens can feel, such as the Infinite Kindness Campaign, the Smile Project, open municipal governance, the establishment of a second civil affairs office, and the operation of "Civil Affairs Day."

Weaving the City's Timeline into Policy Shin Hyunguk, Mayor of Mungyeong City, is delivering a greeting at a press conference.

Shin Hyunguk, Mayor of Mungyeong City, stated, "Achievements must be felt in the daily lives of citizens, not just measured by numbers," adding, "We will connect the voices of the media and citizens to our policies to achieve sustainable growth and improve the quality of life together."

Mayor Shin Hyunguk also said, "A city is not built overnight. The choices of yesterday create the achievements of today, and today's preparations determine tomorrow's competitiveness. We will review our policy directions based on the lives of citizens and enhance the quality of municipal governance through communication with the media."

He further emphasized, "By connecting the achievements accumulated across tourism, sports, agriculture, and welfare into a single axis of growth, we will ensure that Mungyeong firmly establishes itself as a model for sustainable regional development."
