"No Data Leakage from Wiz Island and Francis Parker"
It has been confirmed that there were no signs of data leakage in some services of Kyowon Tour and Kyowon Wiz, subsidiaries of Kyowon Group.
On January 15, Kyowon Group stated in a briefing regarding the recent hacking incident, "There were no indications of ransomware breaches or data leakage in Wiz Island and Francis Parker, which are operated by Kyowon Tour and Kyowon Wiz in connection with this incident." The company added, "These companies operate their databases in environments that are physically and structurally separated from the servers where ransomware breach signs were detected."
Nevertheless, the reason these services were included in the report to the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) was explained as "a measure to conduct a more accurate fact-checking process in accordance with our principle of transparent and prompt response, prioritizing our customers above all."
Kyowon Group stated, "We are currently cooperating with relevant authorities and multiple security experts to investigate whether customer information has been leaked," and added, "We will provide guidance through written briefings only on facts that have been confirmed."
