Securing Global Publishing Rights for Dynamis One's Unreleased Title
Domestic and International Publishing for Dexa Studio's "Project R"
NCSoft announced on January 15 that it has made strategic investments in two domestic game development studios to expand its global publishing business and secure new intellectual property (IP).
The investment targets are Dynamis One, a studio specializing in subculture games, and Dexa Studio, which focuses on massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs). Both studios were established in 2024 by core developers behind successful titles in their respective genres, and possess strong expertise and development capabilities.
Through these investments, NCSoft plans to secure the rights to new IPs currently being developed by the two companies, accelerating the expansion of its global publishing business and the growth of domestic and international development clusters.
Dynamis One is a game developer with expertise in the subculture genre and is currently developing an unreleased new title tentatively called "Project AT." "Project AT" is a new-era subculture RPG themed around magic and administration, and marks Dynamis One's fresh start after discontinuing its previous project. NCSoft will handle both domestic and international publishing for "Project AT." With this, the company aims to further diversify its portfolio and continue building a subculture development cluster.
Dexa Studio is a developer led by experienced MMORPG specialists and is working on a new IP, tentatively titled "Project R," which features high-quality graphics and dynamic action. NCSoft will leverage its extensive know-how in MMORPG service operations to publish "Project R" both domestically and internationally. The company expressed its expectations for optimal synergy by combining Dexa Studio's development capabilities with its own MMO business organization expertise.
Park Byungmoo, Co-CEO of NCSoft, stated, "This investment is a strategic move into external developers who have proven excellent development histories and execution capabilities. We will continue to invest in a variety of genres to strengthen our global publishing competitiveness and expand development clusters for each genre."
