On January 14, Guro District in Seoul (Mayor Jang Inhong) announced its administrative direction for this year at the New Year's gathering, focusing on five key areas: infrastructure, local economy, welfare, education, and carbon neutrality.

The district held the New Year's gathering at 2 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of Sindorim Technomart, attended by more than 1,000 people, including members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, heads of related organizations, key figures from professional associations, and local residents.


The administrative direction presented in the New Year's address prioritized the infrastructure sector, including housing redevelopment projects, transportation, and the establishment of public facilities. The district also aims to strengthen the economic foundation of residents by revitalizing the local and neighborhood economies, and will implement policies to improve quality of life in both welfare and education sectors. In particular, the transition to a carbon-neutral city was highlighted as a core task, emphasizing urban development that considers the environment and sustainability.
