Mayor Kim Kyeongil Visits City Information Center for the New Year
"Grateful for the Key Role in Ensuring Citizen Safety and Convenience"
Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on January 15 that Mayor Kim Kyeongil visited the City Information Center on January 14 to encourage the staff and inspect the operation status of the traffic and crime prevention systems.
On this day, Mayor Kim Kyeongil visited the integrated control room of the City Information Center, directly checked the control systems that operate 24 hours a day, and expressed his gratitude to the employees for their efforts to ensure citizen safety and smooth traffic flow.
The Paju City Information Center provides integrated monitoring of crime prevention closed-circuit televisions (CCTV) throughout Paju City 24 hours a day, playing a key role in preventing crime and enabling rapid incident response. In particular, the center continuously installs CCTV cameras in vulnerable and high-risk areas to strengthen the city’s safety network.
In addition, the City Information Center is installing and operating various Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), managing traffic signals, and implementing projects to improve signal systems, thereby helping to alleviate traffic congestion and prevent traffic accidents. The center has also installed a Bus Information System (BIS) to enable citizens to access public transportation information more accurately and conveniently.
Mayor Kim Kyeongil stated, “The City Information Center is a key institution responsible for the safety and convenience of citizens in their daily lives,” adding, “We will continue to pursue administration that citizens can truly feel by further advancing intelligent transportation systems and expanding safety infrastructure.”
Paju City plans to continue expanding advanced traffic and crime prevention systems centered around the City Information Center to create a safer and more convenient urban environment.
