This event was organized as part of the Gangwon RISE Project, which aims for sustainable co-growth between the university and the local community. It served as a platform to comprehensively share the outcomes of the Hallym G-Lab’s research and living lab projects conducted in Inje County, as well as the achievements of the Food Tech Division’s support for local businesses. In particular, it was meaningful as it allowed for a review of the tangible results of collaboration among local governments, universities, and companies, and provided an opportunity to discuss how these outcomes can be expanded into local policies and industries.

At the results report meeting, around 50 participants, including local government officials involved in the Gangwon RISE Project and faculty members participating in the research, attended. The program focused on sharing the results of the G-Lab living lab and research projects aimed at solving local issues in Inje, as well as the achievements of the Food Tech Division’s business support initiatives.

Key highlights included: ▲ Development of tailored integrated health promotion solutions for the Inje region ▲ Development of region-specific nutrition management programs ▲ A regional revitalization model connecting culture, arts, and youth ▲ Achievements of the senior solverthon based on the senior young board ▲ Development of welfare and care service models based on resident communities ▲ Research on a community care model tailored to Inje, among other reports on the operation and outcomes of G-Lab living lab and research projects.

Further, as part of the Food Tech Division’s achievements, practical outcomes linked to local specialized industries were introduced, such as ▲ Development of respiratory health functional food ingredients using Sorbus extract ▲ Sharing of results from the All-SET business support program.

Bang Kisuk, Director of the Shared Collaboration Center at Hallym University, emphasized, "This results report meeting provides an integrated overview of the achievements from university-industry-local government cooperation, and is expected to serve as an opportunity to discuss mid- to long-term directions for collaboration to address Inje County’s specialized industries and local issues."

Chae Jinseok, Director of Planning and Budget at Inje County, stated, "This results report meeting is not just about academic achievements, but comprehensively reviews the process of connecting university research outcomes to local policies and industries. Going forward, Inje County plans to further advance regionally tailored university-industry-local government cooperation models through close collaboration with the university, and to continue practical efforts to foster local specialized industries."

Meanwhile, Hallym University intends to continuously provide opportunities to assess the potential for expanding local issues into policy through the university’s research capabilities. Centered on the RISE Project, the university plans to further develop evidence-based models for solving local problems and to promote the dissemination of university-industry-local government cooperation outcomes in the field, so that concrete proposals can be reflected in future county administration.
