"Previewing the Future"...World Class Company Association Visits CES 2026

CES, attended by more than 30 representatives and executives from member companies of the World Class Company Association-including Dongjin Semichem, Unitec, Daesung Hi-Tech, Samhyun, Shilla Industry, Youngshin Precision, Jinyang Oil Seal, Techcross, TLB, Hyosung Electric, and Himpel-is the world’s largest technology exhibition. It is regarded as a barometer of global technology trends, bringing together leading companies and innovative technologies from around the world every year.

The most notable keyword at CES 2026 was Physical AI. The trend of AI expanding beyond software to combine with robots, devices, and equipment-broadening its application across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, services, and everyday life-stood out prominently.

Member companies of the World Class Company Association focused on cases with high business application potential, such as industrial robots, healthcare assistant robots, and autonomous mobile robots.

Additionally, as part of the program beyond visiting the CES exhibition hall, participants visited Boeing, a leading U.S. aerospace and defense company.

At Boeing, participants explored management strategies for securing global competitiveness and cases of technological innovation, focusing on advanced technology trends utilized in the U.S. defense industry. They also examined how traditional defense companies are expanding their technological capabilities through collaboration with big tech firms and exchanged views on possible parts supply and cooperation with Korean companies.

Participants from the World Class Company Association who joined this overseas training remarked, “We realized that the entire industry is rapidly being reorganized around AI, and that in this era, competitiveness depends not on the technology itself, but on how it is applied and commercialized. Through the exhibition and visits to global companies, we gained valuable insights to consider the mid- to long-term strategies for our own companies.”

A representative of the World Class Company Association emphasized, “CES 2026 provided an opportunity to preview future technologies and witness the strategies of global leading companies firsthand. We will continue to support overseas training and global networking so that our member companies can grow into globally competitive enterprises.”
