Kim Kyungchul Appointed as the 30th Commander of the Naval Logistics Command

The Naval Logistics Command held a change of command ceremony for the 29th and 30th Commanders of the Naval Logistics Command at the unit's parade ground on January 14.

Presided over by Admiral Kang Donggil, Chief of Naval Operations, the event was attended by over 150 people, including key Navy commanders and staff, heads of major local organizations and institutions, and representatives from leading domestic defense companies, who gathered to celebrate the inauguration and retirement of the incoming and outgoing commanders.


In his inaugural address, Kim Kyungchul, the new Commander of the Naval Logistics Command, stated, "The Naval Logistics Command is the main artery supporting the Navy's operational victory and the final bastion ensuring triumph. We will accelerate the integration of advanced science and technology to establish an AI-based, technology-intensive logistics support system, and by providing creative and efficient logistics support, we will marshal all our capabilities so that the Navy can maintain optimal combat readiness at all times."


Kim Kyungchul, the new Commander of the Naval Logistics Command, was commissioned in 1993 as a member of the 47th class of the Korea Naval Academy. He has served in key positions both at sea and on land, including Commanding Officer of the Sejong the Great-class destroyer in the Mobile Fleet, Director of the Maritime Operations Headquarters at the Naval Operations Command, Commander of the Second Fleet, and Director of Naval Information Operations.
