On January 14, SV Investment is showing strong performance. This is due to growing expectations for an initial public offering (IPO), as one of its key portfolio companies, Rebellions, is attracting attention from global big tech firms.
As of 9:48 a.m. on this day, SV Investment is trading at 1,970 won, up 76 won (4.01%) from the previous trading day.
SV Investment is one of the core investors in Rebellions, a fabless startup that designs inference AI semiconductors for data centers.
Among domestic venture capital firms, SV Investment invested the largest amount-40 billion won-in Rebellions. This is the first time the firm has invested as much as 40 billion won in a single company.
Within just five years of its founding, Rebellions has attracted approximately 650 billion won from domestic and international investors, growing into a unicorn with a corporate value of 2 trillion won.
Since July of last year, Rebellions has selected Samsung Securities as its lead underwriter and is aiming to file for an IPO this year. The designated audit has also been underway for two consecutive years, including 2024 and last year. The company is also planning to list on the NASDAQ in the United States.
