On January 14, as the KOSPI continued its record-breaking rally into the new year and surpassed the 4,700 mark for the first time ever during intraday trading, the display board at the dealing room of Hana Bank's headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul showed the KOSPI, the won/dollar exchange rate, and the KOSDAQ. On this day, the KOSPI opened at 4,685.11, down 7.53 points (0.16%) from the previous session, but has since been expanding its gains.
