On January 14, as the KOSPI continued its record-breaking rally into the new year and surpassed the 4,700 mark for the first time ever during intraday trading, the electronic board at the main branch dealing room of Hana Bank in Jung-gu, Seoul displayed figures for the KOSPI, the won/dollar exchange rate, and KOSDAQ. On this day, the KOSPI opened at 4,685.11, down 7.53 points (0.16%) from the previous session, but has since been gaining upward momentum.
