Eligible recipients are residents who have their resident registration in military noise countermeasure areas designated by the Ministry of National Defense and who actually resided there between November 27, 2020, and December 31, 2025. Residents who did not apply for military noise compensation during the eligible period last year may also receive compensation retroactively by submitting an application.

The designated military noise countermeasure areas within the city include parts of Baekseok-eup and parts of Gwangjeok-myeon. Residents can check whether their address falls within a designated noise countermeasure area through the Ministry of National Defense’s Military Noise Portal website.

Applications can be submitted in person, online, or by registered mail. For in-person applications, visit the Planning and Budget Division at Yangju City Hall, Baekseok-eup Administrative Welfare Center, or Gwangjeok-myeon Administrative Welfare Center. For online applications, search for 'Application for Military Noise Damage Compensation Payment' on the Government24 website.

For registered mail applications, send the required documents to 'Planning and Budget Division, 2nd Floor, Yangju City Hall, 1533 Buheung-ro, Yangju City.' Required documents include the application form, a copy of your ID, a copy of a bank account under the applicant’s name, and employment documents indicating the actual work address.

For more details, visit the Yangju City website. Compensation will be individually paid in August following a review and resolution by the Yangju City Military Noise Countermeasure Deliberation Committee in May.
