This project was established to reduce the promotional costs for local small businesses and nonprofit organizations and to support public interest promotional activities. It is being implemented based on the "Gwangju Metropolitan City Promotional Media Usage Ordinance."

The available media include 3 billboards, 27 Bitgoeul TV screens, and 8 city hall elevator screens, totaling 38 locations. These are installed in high-traffic areas such as major intersections and the Gwangju Bus Terminal.

For this round of applications, businesses that have experienced inconvenience and business losses due to Phase 1 construction of Subway Line 2 will be given priority in selection.

Eligible applicants include corporations or organizations with their headquarters or main office in Gwangju, nonprofit corporations or organizations, and small enterprises as defined by the Enforcement Decree of the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises. Gwangju City will review applications based on public interest, contribution to the local economy, and public resonance, and will select a total of 16 recipients.

Selected businesses and organizations will be able to use the promotional media for about three months, from March to May. Promotional content must be produced in the form of a video under 30 seconds or as card news. Promotion of specific religions or political parties, as well as false or exaggerated advertising, is excluded.

Applications can be downloaded from the Gwangju City website, completed, and submitted via email. Gwangju City plans to hold another round of applications for the second half of the year in August.

Park Gwangseok, spokesperson for Gwangju City, said, "Through this promotional media usage project, we aim to ease the promotional burden on small business owners and nonprofit organizations and to help disseminate information needed by citizens."
