Gumi Lifelong Learning Center Recruiting Students for the First Regular Session of 2026

Classes Begin February 23: 69 Courses Across 5 Programs, 1,650 Students to Be Selected
Expanding Learning Opportunities from Life Enrichment to Youth Hope Classes

The Gumi Lifelong Learning Center in North Gyeongsang Province will recruit 1,650 students for the first regular session of 2026 through the Gumi City Integrated Reservation Portal from January 19 to January 23.


This regular session will run for 12 weeks from February 23 to May 15, offering 69 classes across 5 programs.

▶ 15 classes in general life enrichment, including Practical Guide to Economic News and Walking Gymnastics

▶ 19 classes in foreign language and cultural arts, such as Real Easy Japanese and Oil Painting

▶ 13 classes in musical instruments, including Haegeum and Drums

▶ 19 classes in skill enhancement, such as Home Fashion (Beginner) and Emoticon Production

▶ 3 classes in the Youth Hope Class program, including Youth Yoga and Youth Vocal Training


Eligible applicants are Gumi residents aged 19 or older or employees working within the city. Applications must be submitted online via the Gumi City Integrated Reservation Portal, after which participants will be selected by computerized lottery. To ensure a smooth application process, registration will be conducted sequentially by program over five days.


If enrollment does not reach capacity, an additional recruitment period will be held from February 2 to February 3. For further details, please refer to the Gumi Lifelong Learning Center website or contact the Learning Operations Team.


The center hopes that this regular session will serve as a new starting point for learning, enabling citizens to discover their potential and move forward toward the future. Moving ahead, the Lifelong Learning Center plans to expand customized lifelong learning programs tailored to the diverse life changes and learning needs of citizens. In addition, to boost participation among the 2030 youth generation, three Youth Hope Class programs will be established and operated, working together with citizens to make learning a part of daily life and challenge a cultural norm in Gumi, the lifelong learning city.
