Over 140 Types of Agricultural Subsidy Programs for 2026
Field-Oriented Guidebook Now Available at a Glance
Gimcheon City has produced and distributed a comprehensive guidebook compiling all agricultural support projects for 2026, aiming to enhance information accessibility in the agricultural sector. By systematically organizing previously complex and scattered agricultural policy information, the city seeks to improve farmers’ awareness and understanding of relevant policies.
On January 12, Gimcheon City announced that it had produced the “2026 Gimcheon City Agricultural Project Guidebook,” which contains detailed information and application guidelines for agricultural support projects to be implemented by the Gimcheon Agricultural Technology Center next year. The guidebook has been distributed to township, town, and neighborhood administrative welfare centers as well as local agricultural cooperatives.
The guidebook is designed to help farmers understand a wide range of agricultural subsidy programs easily and accurately. It features a total of approximately 140 support projects, including key agricultural policies such as the Public Direct Payment Program and the Farmer and Fisherman Allowance, organized by the five departments of the Agricultural Technology Center. For each project, the responsible department, support details, application periods, and procedures are clearly presented for quick reference.
In the past, farmers have consistently voiced concerns that they missed application opportunities simply because they were unaware of certain programs. The city expects that this guidebook will help bridge the information gap in the agricultural sector and serve as a practical administrative tool, enabling farmers to access necessary policies in a timely manner.
Notably, the guidebook goes beyond merely listing projects by clearly specifying application periods and methods, thereby reducing administrative burdens and increasing farmers’ ability to utilize these programs.
A Gimcheon City official stated, “We hope the project guidebook will help farmers systematically understand the 2026 agricultural support programs and actively use it for farm planning and project applications. We will continue to expand policies that farmers can truly benefit from by providing field-oriented agricultural policy information.”
Meanwhile, the “2026 Gimcheon City Agricultural Project Guidebook” is available at township, town, and neighborhood administrative welfare centers as well as local agricultural cooperatives, and can be freely accessed by any citizen visiting these institutions.
