"Pay Your Taxes" ... Changwon Special City Designates January as Regular License Registration Tax Payment Month

Taxpayers include individuals or corporations who have received licenses without a set expiration date or hold licenses valid for more than one year, granted by administrative agencies through various permits and approvals. The payment period is from January 16 to February 2. Even those who obtained new licenses in December of the previous year or had their licenses canceled after January 1 of this year are still obligated to pay the regular license registration tax, so it is important not to miss the payment.

To make license registration tax payments more convenient for citizens, the city allows payments via cash card (bankbook) or credit card at bank CD/ATM machines, even without a tax bill. Various payment options are also available, including virtual (dedicated) account transfers, mobile payments, the Wetax internet system, and ARS (automated response system) for easy payment, so taxpayers do not need to visit banks or tax offices in person.

Kim Changwoo, Director of Taxation, stated, "Although the economic situation is challenging, local taxes are a vital source of independent funding for community development. If the payment deadline is missed, additional charges may be imposed or permits may be revoked, so I urge everyone to pay within the designated period."
