This winter training camp is scheduled from January 12 to January 18, with a total of 629 athletes participating, including 31 from Korea National Sport University, 22 from Seoul Physical Education Middle School, 28 from Gyeonggi Physical Education High School, 554 from other teams, and the Cheorwon County professional team. The program includes physical training, fundamental skills training, and judo uniform training.
Cheorwon County organized this training camp to provide a venue for athletes to exchange information and build camaraderie, as well as to discover outstanding athletes. The county expects that the athletes’ seven-day stay will significantly boost the local economy, particularly in the accommodation and restaurant sectors.
Lee Hyunjong, Mayor of Cheorwon County, stated, "Starting with this judo winter training camp, we plan to continue attracting training camps for various sports disciplines to contribute to both local economic revitalization and the development of sports."
