KakaoBank will conduct a card system maintenance for an update from 11:50 p.m. on January 17 until 7:00 a.m. on January 18.
This maintenance will include system optimization, upgrades, and replacement of IT equipment as part of the card system update. During the early morning hours when the work is being carried out, all financial transactions using check cards and mini cards will be temporarily suspended.
Specifically, the services that will be restricted include: ▲Issuance and cancellation of check/mini cards ▲Domestic and international online and offline payments (including payment cancellations) ▲Deposits and withdrawals at automated devices (CD/ATM) ▲Card suspension and lost card reporting ▲Mini card T-money services (such as recharging) ▲Card-related inquiries and processing through the customer center.
However, the deferred payment transportation card function of the check card will remain available during the maintenance period. In addition, all services for the co-branded credit card, "KakaoBank ZupZup Shinhan Card," will operate as usual.
The actual end time of the maintenance may vary depending on the progress of the work. Detailed information regarding the maintenance can be found in the KakaoBank notices.
KakaoBank will implement an "intensive monitoring system" throughout the entire process, not only during the maintenance but also to prepare for any emergencies that may occur after the update is completed. If you experience any inconvenience while using the service after the maintenance, you can report it through the customer center in the app or contact the main customer service number.
