Starting Price Set at 96.57 Million Won
Genesis launched its first high-performance model, the 'GV60 Magma,' on January 13. The GV60 Magma is a model that pursues 'luxury high performance,' going beyond simple high output to deliver refined ride comfort and emotional quality. This vehicle symbolically represents the brand direction Genesis aims for over the next decade.
The GV60 Magma boasts the highest performance among Genesis' electrified models. It is equipped with front and rear motors that deliver a combined maximum output of 448 kW (609 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 740 Nm. When boost mode is activated, it achieves 478 kW (650 horsepower) and 790 Nm of torque for about 15 seconds. It accelerates from a standstill to 200 km/h in 10.9 seconds, with a top speed of 264 km/h.
To ensure stable performance even during high-speed driving, Genesis enhanced the motor cooling system and durability. The brand also advanced the '2-stage motor' control, extending the maximum output duration in boost mode. Additionally, the fourth-generation 84 kWh battery enables a driving range of 346 km on a single charge, providing both everyday usability and high performance.
The body and suspension have been significantly improved to enhance driving performance. A new suspension structure with a lower roll center than the previous GV60, along with electronic controlled suspension (ECS) and EoT control systems, allows for stable body control during cornering while maintaining a comfortable ride. The vehicle is also equipped with exclusive 21-inch wheels and wide summer tires to improve road grip and driving responsiveness.
The GV60 Magma features exclusive driving modes such as GT mode and Sprint mode, allowing drivers to select performance settings suited to various driving conditions. The system automatically adjusts the battery and motor status to maintain optimal performance, and includes functions that assist with strong acceleration at launch. In addition, a system that simulates gear shifts similar to internal combustion engine vehicles and a dedicated driving sound feature enhance the immersive driving experience. Technologies to improve sound insulation and reduce road noise are standard, ensuring a quiet cabin even at high speeds.
The exterior features a 50 mm increase in width and a 20 mm reduction in height, creating a stable proportion while emphasizing exclusive aerodynamic design elements. The interior uses suede materials and exclusive color stitching to express both luxury and sportiness.
To mark the launch of the GV60 Magma, Genesis will hold nationwide exhibition events and invite new owners to international motorsports competitions. The GV60 Magma is priced at 96.57 million won, based on a 3.5% individual consumption tax rate.
