Presenting Organizational Culture Through Employee Interviews
S2W announced on January 13 that it has published a brand book titled Inventing Differently, which encapsulates the company's 'people-centered' corporate philosophy and organizational culture.
This book is a collection of interviews that highlights, through conversations with key executives and early employees, the values S2W has pursued, the challenges it has overcome, and the ways it has grown over the past seven years since its founding in a fiercely competitive technological market. Departing from the conventional success formulas of tech startups-such as speed, efficiency, performance-driven approaches, and competition-the book illustrates the company's ongoing efforts to ensure that members can maintain their individuality and avoid self-exploitation, while laying the foundation for sustainable growth.
The company's people-first philosophy stems from the belief of its leadership that "it is more important to consider who you work with than to decide what to make and sell." Kiuk Lee, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of S2W, said, "If trust among colleagues in the same boat is broken, all achievements built so far can become meaningless," adding, "Since its founding, S2W has established an organizational culture based on 'psychological safety,' 'complete autonomy,' and 'mutual trust,' using a 'Who → Why → How → What' framework adapted from leadership expert Simon Sinek's 'Golden Circle' theory."
Furthermore, S2W has systematized its unique organizational culture around seven key values-listening, respect, collaboration, unity, exploration, diligence, and autonomy-providing detailed examples and explaining specifically how each value interconnects and contributes to S2W's technological innovation and business achievements.
S2W CEO Suh Sangduk said, "I hope this book will be a meaningful read for everyone considering how to 'invent differently' for sustainable growth in business and their careers."
