Dodamteul Plaza in Suwon Gyeonggi Convergence Town to Open 'Winter Snowfield Playground' on January 17

The Gyeonggi Dodamteul Plaza, located within Gyeonggi Convergence Town in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, will be transformed into a winter playground where visitors can enjoy snow sledding, a Viking ride, curling, and more from January 17 to February 28.

On January 13, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will operate the 'Winter Snowfield Playground' so that children and families on winter break can safely enjoy winter activities in the city.

Gyeonggi Convergence Town is a multi-complex centered around the new Gyeonggi Provincial Government building in Gwanggyo, bringing together various public institutions such as the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and the Gyeonggi Provincial Library. Gyeonggi Dodamteul is the name of the citizen communication plaza located within Gyeonggi Convergence Town.

The new playground at Gyeonggi Dodamteul will feature snow sledding, ice sledding, spinning sleds, a curling rink, air bounce, and a mini Viking ride, offering a variety of hands-on experiences.

For safety, children under 120 cm in height must be accompanied by a guardian to use the snow sledding area, and only those aged 13 or younger are allowed on the spinning sled and mini Viking ride.

For visitor convenience, there will be shelters to escape the cold and snack food trucks. Facilities will also include a nursing room and a first-aid room for families with infants and toddlers.
